What I liked most was that at the end, “Red Riding Hood” decided to move into her grandmother’s house in the woods rather than live in the fear filled village. Many fairy tales have been interpreted for their (purported) significance. Who knows, people might not split up so much – or get into relationships that aren’t going to work out. It took a deep level of engagement just to understand what was being said: these scholars are highly intelligent and use great big words to express complicated ideas.
